Lee Greenwood, the singer of ‘God Bless the USA,’ is proud to be an American and will stand with President Donald Trump at America’s 250th celebration. Greenwood told Fox News Digital he’s ‘very proud’ to be part of the country’s anniversary celebration and will perform in Washington, D.C.

A Celebration of America

Greenwood stressed that the celebration shouldn’t be political, saying ‘this is celebrating America, this wonderful place that we have for 250 years of our republic.’ He won’t be thinking about Democrats, Republicans, or Independents while singing, but rather about celebrating America.

Greenwood has supported Trump ‘from the very beginning’ and has been friends with the president for a long time. He’s ‘just very proud to stand next to the man that I appreciate that runs our country,’ he said.
