Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail is now accepting nominations for its inaugural 18 Under 18 awards. This program aims to recognize and honor “ambitious, talented and service-oriented” students from Tarrant County, aged 13-18, who are making a positive impact in their communities.
About the Awards
The 18 Under 18 awards will identify role models, leaders, and innovators in Tarrant County. Nominations must be submitted by August 30. According to Cindy Hames, president of Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, “These young people aren’t letting their age get in the way — they are making a difference in the world right now.”
Selected students will be profiled in the Fort Worth Report starting in the fall, and a ceremony to celebrate the winners is scheduled for March 31 at Texas Wesleyan University. The Fort Worth Report is partnering with Junior Achievement to celebrate these remarkable Tarrant County students.
