Jason Robertson Signs 12M Deal With Dallas Stars

Jason Robertson, a high-scoring forward, has signed a $12 million contract with the Dallas Stars for the 2026-27 season, avoiding a salary arbitration hearing. The deal was announced by the Stars on Tuesday night, a day before Robertson’s 27th birthday.

Contract Details

Robertson’s $12 million salary for the upcoming season matches that of forward Mikko Rantanen, who recently completed the first season of his eight-year, $96 million extension. The NHL’s salary cap will increase by $9.5 million ahead of next season.

Robertson has been a key player for the Stars, with 490 points (213 goals and 277 assists) in 456 regular-season games. He could become an unrestricted free agent next summer and may test the market if the Stars are not willing to meet his desired salary of $14 million or more annually.
