Irving Library Hosts Community Art Supply Swap with Prize Drawing

The South Irving Library is calling on the community to participate in its upcoming Community Art Supply Swap. Residents are encouraged to donate unused and gently used arts and crafts supplies in good condition by June 4. The event aims to foster creativity and resourcefulness within the community.

Event Details

The swap will take place on June 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Irving Library. All community members are welcome to browse and take home materials, regardless of whether they have made a donation. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from the event.

In addition to the swap, there will be a special prize drawing. For each box of supplies donated, patrons will receive one entry ticket for a chance to win a 3D printer, along with supplies and accessories. There is a limit of five tickets per patron, and donations must be dropped off at the South Irving Library to qualify for the drawing. A valid library card is required to enter.

The winner of the prize drawing will be announced on June 8. For more information, including details on box sizes for donations, interested individuals can visit the library’s website at IrvingTX.gov/Library.

Community Engagement

This event is an excellent opportunity for residents to engage with their local library and community. By participating, individuals can contribute to a culture of sharing and sustainability, while also having the chance to win a valuable prize. The South Irving Library continues to be a hub for community activities, promoting both creativity and collaboration among its patrons.
