An Indianapolis man has confessed to fatally shooting a woman at an apartment complex on the city’s northeast side. According to court documents, 37-year-old Irvens Norvilus shot and killed 31-year-old Chrisline Stephen on August 3.
Investigation Details
IMPD officers responding to a disturbance call found Norvilus trying to drive away from the scene. He reportedly told officers, ‘I killed my baby momma.’ Police took Norvilus into custody and found Stephen in an apartment with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple witnesses reported hearing an argument between Stephen and Norvilus, and one person heard three gunshots. Norvilus told police that Stephen had left him and said, ‘he got his justice and now wanted the family to have justice.’ A handgun and live 9mm cartridges were found in the SUV Norvilus was driving.
