McConnell, 84, was admitted to the hospital on June 14 after a fall. He later announced that he had been diagnosed with a mild case of pneumonia and was undergoing physical therapy to regain his strength. Despite his health issues, McConnell plans to maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home and will continue to engage with his staff and colleagues on important Senate business.
