A shooting outside an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Idaho Falls, Idaho, has left three people dead and seven injured. The victims include Ashley Garibay, a 23-year-old associate at the restaurant, and Christopher Claunch, a man who had gotten sober and worked to help others with substance problems.
Victims’ Stories
Garibay was a devoted daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend, according to her family. She loved serving customers and had dreams of managing her own In-N-Out Burger store one day. Claunch, on the other hand, worked at a treatment facility in Rupert, where he had gotten sober. He was known for his big, open, and giving heart, and was able to help many people in their recovery.
Another victim, Terry Dudley, was a taxi driver who was charging his Tesla when he was shot. He is currently in the hospital with serious injuries. James Palmer, the owner of the taxi service Dudley works for, said Dudley was like his right-hand man.
Investigation
The gunman, Chad Williams, fatally shot himself, according to police. Investigators are working to determine the motive behind the shooting. An off-duty state trooper and a civilian fired on the gunman, diverting him from the restaurant.
