Viktor Hovland is in the lead at the Travelers Championship after a 6-under 64 on Saturday. He is one shot ahead of Scottie Scheffler, the world’s No. 1 player.
Strong Performance
Hovland had a strong performance, with a two-shot swing on the 18th hole giving him the lead. He made a 6-foot birdie, while Scheffler three-putted from 25 feet for a bogey.
Hovland was pleased with his performance, saying he had a great time playing alongside Scheffler. He also appreciated the support from the crowd, including a contingent of Norwegian fans who chanted and did the “row” as he approached the 18th green.
Scheffler is still in contention, just one shot behind Hovland. He said he will try to execute his game plan and see where it puts him on Sunday. The next closest players are Patrick Cantlay and Akshay Bhatia, who are five shots behind.
