School Start Dates
Here are the start dates for schools in the Greater Cincinnati area:
- Hamilton County: Cincinnati Public Schools (Aug. 19), Deer Park Schools (Aug. 18), Finneytown Local School District (Aug. 19), and more.
- Butler County: Edgewood City Schools (Aug. 18), Fairfield City Schools (Aug. 14, 17), Hamilton City Schools (Aug. 13-14), and more.
- Northern Kentucky: Beechwood Independent School District (Aug. 12), Boone County Schools (Aug. 19), Campbell County Schools (Aug. 12), and more.
Immunization Requirements
Vaccination requirements and recommendations differ based on age and school. Commonly required vaccinations include DTaP, polio, Hep B, chickenpox, and meningococcal.
Back-to-School Sales Tax Free Weekend
Ohio’s sales tax holiday took place from Aug. 7 to Aug. 9. The holiday applies to all items of clothing priced at $75 or less, school supplies priced at $20 or less, and school instructional materials priced at $20 or less.
