A 10-hour manhunt in Georgia came to an end Tuesday after a bloodhound helped deputies track down a suspect accused of shooting the mother of his child and fleeing the scene on foot.
The suspect was identified as Darian Berry Sr., 46, a previously convicted felon, according to the Butts County Sheriff’s Office. The domestic incident unfolded Tuesday morning in the city of Flovilla, roughly 50 miles south of Atlanta, officials said.
