Frisco Mayoral Runoff Election

Early voting for the Frisco mayoral runoff election has ended, with 25,427 registered voters casting their ballots at a Frisco polling location from June 1-9. The election will determine the city’s next mayor, as incumbent Mayor Jeff Cheney has termed out of the position.

Runoff Election Details

Rod Vilhauer and Mark Hill, the top two candidates from the initial four-person race in May, will face off in the runoff. The mayor is responsible for facilitating City Council meetings and only votes to break a tie.

During early voting, voters could cast their ballots at any polling location in Collin or Denton counties. In Collin County, 13,009 voters cast ballots, while 12,418 voters cast ballots in Denton County. On election day, June 13, Collin County voters can cast their ballots at any polling location, while Denton County residents must vote at their specific polling place.
