Albuquerque and Bernalillo County are hosting a free drive-in movie night at Balloon Fiesta Park, featuring the classic baseball film ‘The Sandlot’. The event is part of the Seasons of Nonviolence initiative, aiming to provide families with a safe and entertaining evening while promoting community engagement.
The free drive-in event will take place at Balloon Fiesta Park’s east parking lot, with gates opening at 6 p.m. and the movie beginning promptly at 8 p.m. Guests can watch the film from inside their vehicles or bring lawn chairs to sit in a designated viewing area near the screen. Movie audio will be available through vehicle radios on 91.1 FM, with speakers also set up near the seating area.
Food trucks will be on site throughout the event, and attendees who complete a survey will receive a voucher that can be used at any participating food truck.
