The Los Angeles Dodgers will have four players starting in the upcoming All-Star Game, with first baseman Freddie Freeman, third baseman Max Muncy, outfielder Andy Pages, and designated hitter Shohei Ohtani all earning starting spots. However, Ohtani may not be able to pitch in the game due to a right biceps issue.
Injuries and Scheduling Conflicts
Several other players, including Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes and Milwaukee’s Jacob Misiorowski, may also miss the game due to scheduling conflicts or injuries. Skenes and Misiorowski are both scheduled to start for their respective teams on the Sunday before the All-Star Game, and may not be able to pitch in the game as a result.
Additionally, Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge will miss the game due to a broken rib, while Toronto first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will skip the game to rest a bad back. Guerrero’s spot in the starting lineup will be taken by the Athletics’ Nick Kurtz.
