The Casper area is in full celebration mode this Independence Day weekend, with two beloved community traditions bringing neighbors together under sunny Wyoming skies.
Bar Nunn launched the Fourth of July festivities with a community parade on Saturday, July 4, giving residents a classic, hometown way to mark the holiday. The parade set a festive tone for the day across the greater Casper community.
Adding to the summer excitement, the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo opened its gates on July 3 and runs through July 11, giving families more than a week to enjoy one of the region’s most cherished annual traditions. The fair and rodeo is a highlight of the local calendar each summer, drawing participants and spectators from across Natrona County and beyond.
With warm, dry weather in the forecast for the holiday weekend, conditions looked ideal for outdoor celebrations throughout the area. Whether catching the parade in Bar Nunn or heading out to the fairgrounds, Casper-area residents had plenty of reasons to come together and celebrate this week.
