The incident is under investigation by the Federal Court of Córdoba, Argentina. Authorities have not yet revealed why Bertazzo leaped to his death.
Bertazzo had been under psychiatric care, but his employer, the Flying Parrot Córdoba flying school, was not aware of his struggles. The school’s director, Eduardo Álvarez, described Bertazzo as a ‘beautiful person with a great smile’ and expressed shock at the incident.
Rosario, who has a pilot’s license, was able to land the aircraft safely despite being shaken by the incident. Álvarez praised her professionalism and maturity in handling the situation.
