Emergency crews responded to a fire at the State College of Florida campus in Bradenton, Florida, on July 4, 2026. The fire started when a fleet of golf carts caught fire and spread to a nearby building.
Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue received the emergency call at 12:41 p.m. and dispatched four engines, one ladder truck, and a battalion chief to the scene. Teams arrived within five minutes and launched a targeted attack to suppress the flames.
Assistance was provided by the Southern Manatee Fire District and Manatee County Emergency Medical Services. Crews managed to completely extinguish the fire within 45 minutes of their arrival. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by local authorities.
