FC Cincinnati star Miles Robinson took to social media to share a message of gratitude and inspiration following the United States’ elimination from the 2026 World Cup. Robinson, who was named to his first World Cup roster for this year’s event, appeared in just one match for the USMNT, starting the final Group Stage match against Türkiye.
USMNT Performance
The USMNT captured the attention of the nation over the last month, putting their stamp on U.S. soccer history in the process. No other American men’s World Cup team won as many games (three) or scored as many goals (11) as this year’s USMNT did. They also recorded the highest-scoring World Cup performance in U.S. history, with their tournament-opening 4-1 win over Paraguay, and won a knockout stage game for the first time since 2002, with a 2-0 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Robinson’s Instagram post concluded, ‘We move with our heads high. The future is bright.’ While the U.S. men will have to wait four years for their next shot at World Cup glory—to be played in 2030 and jointly hosted by Morocco, Portugal and Spain—Robinson will return to the pitch later this month, when FC Cincinnati begins post-World Cup play.
