Orlando residents will gather Saturday night for the 15th annual Fashion and Hope charity runway, a community‑driven event that blends local fashion, entertainment and fundraising for families confronting pediatric cancer. The show is scheduled for August 22 at Fields Motorcars Bentley Orlando, with general admission tickets priced at $200 and VIP tickets at $250.
Local designers, models and businesses unite
The evening will feature more than 160 looks presented by 16 Orlando boutiques, with roughly 100 models walking the runway. In addition to fashion, local artists will display works for sale, and all art proceeds will also benefit the Give Hope Foundation, which supports children and families dealing with childhood cancer throughout Central Florida.
J.R. Tanghal, president of the Hope for More Foundation, explained that the event has grown from a modest fundraiser into a major community gathering. “When you’re battling pediatric cancer, the bills don’t stop. You have your family, you might have other children involved… bills to pay, and things are still piling up. So, every little bit helps,” Tanghal said.
Community volunteers give their time and talent
Beyond the runway, the event showcases the dedication of local volunteers. Hair and makeup artists are closing their salons for the night to work with models, and numerous community members are donating their time, talent and resources to make the night successful.
Meaghan Mackey, a WESH 2 anchor, will also walk the runway alongside two Orlando boutiques, highlighting the media’s support for the cause.
Impact and fundraising goals
Last year’s Fashion and Hope raised $200,000 for families facing childhood cancer. Proceeds from this year’s ticket sales and art sales will go directly to the Give Hope Foundation, which provides financial assistance, counseling and other resources to affected families.
“Not only do you get a runway show with amazing boutiques and models, but you also have a really cool art component where local artists are showcasing their art, and all those art sales are going back to the charity as well,” Tanghal added.
How to attend
Tickets are available online. The general admission show begins at 8 p.m., while the VIP experience starts at 7 p.m. Attendees can expect a night of fashion, live entertainment and a strong sense of community purpose.
