El Paso Community College (EPCC) is set to bring back its Summer and Fall Mobile Food Pantry, providing a valuable service to the community starting June 2. In partnership with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger, EPCC will host free grocery pick-ups every Tuesday through November across its campuses in the city.
Community Support and Logistics
Residents are encouraged to bring their own bags or wagons to carry their groceries home. This initiative aims to support local families by ensuring they have access to essential food items during the summer and fall months. The collaboration between EPCC and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger highlights the community’s commitment to helping those in need.
The grocery pick-up schedule is as follows for each EPCC campus:
- Mission del Paso campus (10700 Gtwy Blvd. E near Far East El Paso)
- Valle Verde campus, Parking Lot L (919 Hunter Dr. in the Lower Valley)
- Transmountain campus, Parking Lot B (9570 Gateway N Blvd. in the Northeast)
- Rio Grande campus, Parking Lot C (100 W Rio Grande Ave. in Sunset Heights)
- Northwest campus, Parking Lot A (6701 S Desert Blvd. near Canutillo)
This initiative not only provides much-needed assistance to families but also strengthens the sense of community and support within El Paso. By working together, EPCC and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger are making a positive impact on the lives of many residents.
