English soccer player Jordan Henderson has shared an update after suffering a freak arm injury while celebrating his team’s World Cup Round of 16 win over Mexico.
Henderson’s Injury
Henderson tried to hop over the advertising boards after England topped Mexico 3-2 at Mexico City Stadium. However, his hand slipped off the top of the boards, and he hit the deck hard and awkwardly, resulting in a fractured wrist.
Henderson has undergone surgery in Kansas City, ruling him out of England’s quarterfinal against Norway and the remainder of the tournament.
