Co-host Sunny Hostin argued that Platner should exit the race, as Democrats need to flip the Senate. Griffin questioned how the Democrats failed to vet Platner properly, given the importance of the Maine Senate seat.

Griffin suggested that consultants and people around Platner may have known about his issues with women but chose to ignore them. Whoopi Goldberg noted that people often vote for flawed candidates despite allegations.

The co-hosts agreed that the parties are not vetting candidates based on character. Hostin focused her criticism on the Republican Party, arguing they cannot claim the moral high ground.
