A 36-year-old Clermont man died Sunday after his car struck two trees and overturned in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash occurred at about 2:12 a.m. on Greater Hills Boulevard, north of Charter Oaks Trail. Investigators said the man was driving a Porsche Boxster north when the car left the roadway, struck a curb, and continued northwest before hitting two trees.
The impact caused the car to overturn and land on its roof. The driver was taken to Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Troopers. FHP says the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. His name has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by The Florida Highway Patrol.
