Political strategist James Carville offered harsh criticisms against far-left Democrats, calling them ‘part of the problem’ within the party. He blasted the nationwide sweep of far-left and Democratic Socialist primary election victories, saying certain candidates are ‘part of the problem’.
Far-Left Candidates
Carville pointed to various elections where far-left and democratic socialist candidates unseated moderate party incumbents, such as in New York and Colorado. He criticized their solution, saying it’s not to beat Republicans, but to beat Democrats like they’re part of the problem.
Carville also criticized Abdul El-Sayed, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan, saying he’s running against both parties. He argued that one party has expanded health insurance, balanced the budget, and created economic prosperity, while the other party has destroyed these achievements.
Carville warned Democratic voters not to ‘fall for the allure of false prophets’ in the upcoming midterm elections. He told far-left candidates to ‘go beat a Republican — then come back and I will respect you.’ Until then, he said he has nothing but contempt for them.
