A car crashed into a home in Ocoee late Saturday night, injuring two women. The driver of a Toyota Camry was cited for improper driving after failing to operate the vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.
Homeowner Speaks Out
Homeowner Nikita Ayton spoke exclusively to WESH 2 News. She said she was sitting in her living room with a friend around midnight when she heard notifications from her home security cameras.
Ayton believes a dresser inside the home helped save her life by stopping the vehicle from traveling farther into the room. ‘If it wasn’t for the dresser, I would be gone,’ she said.
The crash left Ayton with a broken finger that required surgery and two screws to repair. The crash also caused significant damage to the home, leaving Ayton concerned about its safety.
