Dear Annie, an award-winning restaurant and wine bar in Cambridge, is closing its doors after 5 years of service. The restaurant, located at 1741 Massachusetts Avenue, will have its final evening of regular service on July 31st.
New Chapter
Although the restaurant will no longer operate as it currently does, the space will be repurposed for bespoke events, including private events, focused on exceptional wine and hospitality. The new concept is set to launch in September, following a month-long closure in August.
The decision to close the restaurant comes as the trend of unique, independent eateries giving way to larger chains and steakhouses continues in the Boston area. Dear Annie’s owner, Lauren Friel, expressed her commitment to the industry, citing her 25 years of dedication to the craft.
