Calabasas On Ramp Closure

The city of Calabasas has warned drivers that the northbound 101 on-ramp on Liberty Canyon will be closed between Aug. 3 and Aug. 7 from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. due to the construction of the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing.

Detour Information

Caltrans will offer a detour. Drivers can continue south on Liberty Canyon Road, head west on Agoura Road, then travel north on Chesebro Road/Palo Comado Canyon Road to access the northbound U.S. 101 on-ramp.

The project, which began on Earth Day 2022, aims to provide a vegetated bridge across the 101 Freeway, connecting the Santa Monica Mountains and the Sierra Madre Range. The main purpose is to protect wildlife animals, including mountain lions, from deadly car crashes.
