Iowa Charity Golf Tournament Raises 10 8M

The 2026 Principal Charity Classic golf tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, has raised a record-breaking $10.8 million to support Iowa children’s charities. Since Principal became the title sponsor in 2007, the event has raised more than $83 million to help young Iowans with schooling and career readiness.

Local Impact

This year’s winner was Iowa native and Drake Bulldog Zach Johnson, who made history as just the fourth player to win in his first appearance. The Principal Charity Classic will return to the Wakonda Club from June 2-6 next year.
