Aiming for Back-to-Back Wins

Despite the challenges, Wallace is determined to join an elite group of drivers who have achieved back-to-back victories at the Brickyard 400. Only three drivers have managed this feat since NASCAR first started racing at Indy in 1994: Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, and Kevin Harvick.

Wallace acknowledges that his first win has had a profound impact on his personal life, making him a better husband, father, and less stressed person. A second win would be almost unimaginable, and he’s grateful for the opportunity to compete at this level.

The race weekend is also marked by tributes to Kyle Busch, the two-time Cup champion who passed away in May. The track’s scoring pylon will have a special display for Busch during the race.
