Former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has made his NFL Top 100 debut after his third season with the Carolina Panthers, being named the No. 98 best player in the NFL, as voted on by his peers in the league.
Young’s Rise to Prominence
The former first overall pick out of the University of Alabama led the Panthers to an NFC South title last season, earning Carolina a home playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. While the Panthers fell to the Rams, Young showed he’s taking the next step to be a franchise quarterback for a Carolina team that’s been searching for one since Cam Newton’s departure.
Young had the best season of his NFL career in year three last year, completing 63.6% of his passes for 3,011 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 216 yards and two scores with his legs. His top performance came in a 30-27 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons on the road last season, where he completed 68.9% of his passes for 448 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions against the Falcons.
