Brown County officials have set up a call line for residents to report damage and additional needs after Wednesday’s storms. The public can call 2-1-1 at any time, 24/7, to reach United Way volunteers who will assist with needs assessment.
Homeowners are advised to document damage and take pictures to help with insurance claims. Most homeowner’s insurance policies do not cover flooding, and flood insurance must be purchased separately. For water backups inside the house, a policy specific to sewer backup is required.
