Kurtis Youse has transferred to the Story Hatchery as a fish culturist, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish report. Youse previously worked as a fish culturist at the Clark’s Fork Hatchery for six years.
Youse earned a degree in fisheries and aquatic sciences from Colorado State University in 2016. During college and after graduation, he worked in northeast Colorado for Colorado Parks and Wildlife as a technician on the state’s native fish sampling crew.
Youse said he grew up loving to fish and wanted to work with fish. He is excited to explore the Bighorn Mountains this summer and find new areas to fish.
