The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs 8-2 at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Saturday night. The Brewers’ bullpen, specifically reliever Chad Patrick, struggled as the Cubs scored 4 runs in the sixth inning, with 3 of those runs coming from a home run by Ian Happ.

Game Recap

Kyle Harrison started strong for the Brewers, allowing 2 runs with 9 strikeouts over the first 5 innings. However, the Cubs’ offense proved too much for the Brewers’ bullpen. Grant Anderson and Joel Kuhnel also allowed single runs in the seventh and ninth innings, respectively.

Offensively, the Brewers got a home run from Jackson Chourio off of Cubs starter Jason Peterson in the first inning but managed only 4 hits the rest of the way. The Cubs’ relief pitchers allowed just 1 walk over the final 3 1/3 innings.

The two teams will wrap up their series today, with Brandon Woodruff starting for the Brewers and Ryan Rolison starting for the Cubs. The game can be heard on 97.5 and 1360 WTAQ, beginning with the pre-game show at 12:35.
