Deputies in Harnett County are investigating a break-in near Campbell University’s campus. The incident occurred on Sunday night, just before 11:30 p.m., when suspects attempted to break into an off-campus residence on Marshbanks Road.
A car crashed into the traffic circle in the middle of campus on Leslie Campbell Avenue after the suspects fled. No one was hurt, and investigators believe the break-in was targeted. The university sent out a text alert to the main campus community as a precaution.
