The Kentucky Derby Festival has opened applications for its 2027 Royal Court. The Royal Court is a long-standing tradition that recognizes accomplished young women from across the region. As ambassadors for the Kentucky Derby Festival, the City of Louisville, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the selected princesses will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience, make connections, and create lasting memories.
Eligibility and Application
To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Kentucky or the Louisville area, including Clark, Floyd, or Harrison counties in Indiana. They must also be full-time college students entering at least their second year, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be at least 18 years old by December 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted online by Sunday, October 11.
Each member of the Royal Court will receive two $1,000 scholarships, one from The Fillies, Inc. and the other from the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation. They will also receive gifts from sponsors and a complimentary wardrobe.
