A member of the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team was arrested early Friday morning, according to a preliminary report and online booking record. Isaiah Jackson Sealy, 19, stands accused of minor in possession of alcohol, criminal trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, and obstructing governmental operations.

Staff at Tin Roof on Dickson Street in Fayetteville asked Sealy to leave because he refused to show a bouncer his ID, according to the report. When police arrived, they found Sealy in the bar holding an alcoholic beverage. He told police he didn’t have any ID on him, and later said he was 19 years old, according to the report. Police searched Sealy and found a THC vape in his pants pocket, according to the report.
Sealy was booked into jail and later released on a $1,615 bond. A court date was scheduled for Sept. 28. Sealy is a sophomore point guard from Springdale. He played 19 games last season, averaging 2.9 points per game. As a high school senior, he was named Boys Basketball Player of the Year by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
The University of Arkansas wrote in an email to 40/29 News: “We are aware of the issue regarding Isaiah Sealy and are gathering information from the proper officials. After receiving and reviewing the information, we will handle the matter internally.”
