Disney’s upcoming live-action ‘Tangled’ film has fans excited, with a first look at the movie showcasing Kathryn Hahn as the villainous Mother Gothel. The film, a retelling of the 2010 Disney animated movie, is based on the German fairy tale ‘Rapunzel’ by the Brothers Grimm.
Cast and Release Date
The movie features Teagan Croft in the lead role of Rapunzel and is slated to hit theaters on March 31, 2028. The film’s cast also includes Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider.
Kathryn Hahn, known for her role as Agatha Harkness in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, has received praise for her casting as Mother Gothel. Fans have described her as ‘perfect’ for the role, with one user saying she’s ‘serving the exact unhinged maternal menace that made the original Gothel iconic.’
The ‘Tangled’ segment of the D23 convention also featured a message from Croft and Manheim, who shared views from their shooting locations in Spain, including monasteries and cathedrals.
