Arizona head coach Becky Burke and her staff have been recruiting for the 2026-27 season, despite recent NCAA rule changes. They’ve put together a freshman class ranked in the top 20 by both ESPN and 247sports.
Recruiting Landscape
Burke and her staff have secured the services of multiple Power 4 transfers, including former McDonald’s All-American Aliyahna ‘Puff’ Morris. They’ve also had recent visits from 2027 four-star point guard Anna Moser and 2028 four-star point guard Love Lei Best.
Forward Dasia Scott, ranked No. 63 in ESPN’s 2027 rankings, has put Arizona in her top five along with Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and UCF. She will visit the Wildcats on Aug. 21.
New NCAA Rules
The NCAA has adopted new age-based eligibility rules, which may affect the recruiting landscape. Burke doesn’t think the new rules will have a significant impact on basketball, as recruits are waiting until later in the process to make their decisions.
