The Arizona Wildcats volleyball team is gearing up for the new season with a revamped roster and a challenging schedule. The team will play 15 matches against 12 teams that either made the preseason top 25 or received votes, with nine of those matches on the road.
Preseason Poll and Schedule
The AVCA preseason poll has been released, with Arizona State ranked 12th and several other Big 12 teams receiving votes. The Wildcats will face off against No. 13 Creighton in Omaha on September 4.
The team has been hosting fan engagement events, including the second annual Aces on the Green golf tournament and the Bump, Set, Spike fan events. The first Bump, Set, Spike event is scheduled for August 11 at the Sands Club.
Red-Blue Scrimmage and Roster Changes
The Red-Blue Scrimmage will take place on August 15 at 2 p.m. in McKale Center, giving fans a chance to see the new roster in action. The team has several new players, including freshman Hayden Reeder and transfers Kennedy Osunsanmi, Payton Woods, and Destiny Ndam-Simpson.
Carlie Cisneros, who played beach volleyball in the spring, will be looking to step up her game on the indoor court. The team will also have a new setter, with transfers Maria Olga Siapani and Harmony Sample competing for the spot.
