For the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Lubbock will again host the American Tribute Flag Field at Huneke Park. Prosperity Bank, in partnership with the City of Lubbock, will raise hundreds of U.S. flags on Friday, September 4, and keep them flying through Friday, September 11.
Flag‑raising begins Friday morning
Prosperity Bank associates and local first‑responders will begin placing the flags at 4001 82nd Street shortly after sunrise on September 4. The display is open to the public at no cost; residents are invited to drive by, walk the park, and pause to reflect on the meaning of the sea of stars and stripes.
