Celina, Texas – The Mosaic development is turning its signature River amenity complex into a community celebration this fall. On September 26, the new Drift Music & Food Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The River, 4601 Meander Way, offering free live music, food trucks, local vendors and lawn games for families across the region.
Live music and culinary variety
Local indie group Sick Day with Ferris will provide the soundtrack for the afternoon, playing a mix of upbeat rock and folk tunes that suit the relaxed riverside setting. Food options include Chef Yummi Dishes, known for creative comfort fare; Frutiland Gourmet, a health‑focused fruit‑and‑smoothie stand; and Sophia’s Haitian Cuisine, bringing authentic Caribbean flavors to the Texas market.
Support for local makers and family fun
Beyond the food trucks, the festival will showcase a curated selection of local vendors selling drinks, sweets, apparel, jewelry, candles and other handcrafted goods. Lawn games such as cornhole, giant Jenga and ring toss will be set up around The River’s open lawn, providing a safe, family‑friendly environment for children and adults alike.
While the event is open to the public at no cost, organizers encourage attendees to RSVP for updates on any schedule changes or additional activities. Registration is optional and will not affect entry.
The River: a $20 million community centerpiece
The River, the heart of Mosaic’s master‑planned community, features a winding lazy river, cabanas with private plunge pools, fire pits, a fitness center, sand volleyball courts, a splash pad, indoor lounges, an event lawn and a shade pavilion stage designed for concerts. The complex was valued at $20 million in an April 2026 announcement by developer Tellus Group. That same year, the Dallas Builders Association’s McSAM Awards named Mosaic the Master‑Planned Community of the Year and recognized The River as Best New Amenity. In 2025, The River also earned a Gold Nugget Award for Best On‑the‑Boards Community Amenity.
Why the festival matters to Celina families
By opening The River to the broader public, the Drift Festival gives Celina residents and neighboring communities a chance to experience a top‑tier amenity without needing to be Mosaic homeowners. The event aligns with the community’s emphasis on family‑centered recreation, local entrepreneurship and the celebration of North Texas culture.
“We wanted to create an event that brings together music, food and local talent in a setting that families can enjoy together,” said a Mosaic spokesperson. “The Drift showcases what our community has to offer while supporting the small businesses that make North Texas special.”
