The Allen City Council will meet at 6 p.m. June 23 for a work session, with a regular meeting to follow at 7 p.m. Council members will hold a public hearing and consider approval of a special use permit to allow a golf simulation business, Dynamite Performance Golf, to lease space along Bethany Drive.
Proposed Business Details
The proposed business will occupy approximately 6,500 square feet of space at 105 W. Bethany Drive, Ste. 130. The building is currently zoned for light industrial uses, and the Allen Development Land Code requires a specific use permit for a sports training facility to operate at that location.
The Allen Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this permit at its June 2 meeting. Additionally, council members will vote on a state-mandated amendment to the Allen Land Development Code regarding the notification process.
Other regular meeting agenda items include considering spending $195,500 for a study of the 2027 Water, Sewer, and Roadway Impact Fees Update, setting Aug. 21-23 as the dates for the council budget workshop, and approving City Council minutes from the June 9 meeting.
