Gamecocks quarterback LaNorris Sellers has praised the Alabama Crimson Tide’s defense, calling them ‘super physical’ and stating that they are ‘usually never wrong’. Sellers, who has faced the Tide in his previous two seasons, was speaking at the SEC Media Days.
Alabama’s Defensive Record
The stats back up Sellers’ claim, with Alabama finishing inside the top 15 in terms of scoring defense at the Power Four level in 2025, and inside the top ten in 2024, defensive coordinator Kane Wommack’s first year calling the defense.
With Alabama set to start an inexperienced quarterback this season, the defense will need to be strong, particularly when they face the Gamecocks on September 26th.
