Despite the rain, fans of Jelly Roll and Post Malone flocked to Rentschler Field in East Hartford to attend their concert. The event, which was scheduled to go on rain or shine, drew a large crowd of enthusiastic fans.
Concertgoers Prepare for Wet Conditions
Vincent Lattanzi of Shelton, who attended the concert with his family, said they were excited to see the artists perform. "We love their music. They're good. They're good to their fans, and they're just two very real artists," he said. His wife, Jill Lattanzi, added that they were prepared for the wet conditions, bringing ponchos to keep them dry.
Alex, a fan from Massachusetts, also came prepared, saying, "We picked out exactly which rain jackets we wanted to use, so yeah, we feel confident." The fans' enthusiasm was not dampened by the rain, with many expressing hope that the conditions would remain favorable enough for the show to continue without interruptions.
Town Officials Pleased with Event
East Hartford Mayor Connor Martin called the concert a major event for the town, saying it showed that there is an appetite for large-scale events in the area. The town's police department warned of heavy traffic around the stadium and encouraged attendees to arrive early and follow posted signs and directions from officers and stadium staff.
