Blinn College approved a $134.2 million balanced budget for the 2026-27 school year, despite a projected state funding reduction of about $5.3 million. Executive Vice Chancellor Leighton Schubert presented the budget, which includes a 2% salary increase, tiered longevity pay, and funding for facility repairs and renovations.
Enrollment Update
The college also reported a 3.31% increase in spring 2026 enrollment, marking the highest spring enrollment since the COVID-19 pandemic. However, enrollment at the Bryan and RELLIS campuses decreased by 5.43% and 3.86%, respectively. The Brenham campus saw a 9.85% increase in enrollment, and dual-credit enrollment rose by nearly 22%.
Trustees approved the budget unanimously. The college system also celebrated the opening of its new Waller Workforce and Technical Education Complex in early June and continues to build a $68 million campus just across the street.
