The city of Bellaire is working to strengthen its image with a new logo. Board Chair Gay Mayeux stated that the city needs a logo to serve as a recognizable visual identity for the community, visitors, and future generations.
The Logo Design
Members of the Arts Board incorporated elements such as the city’s history and heritage, trees and green space, community character, and a forward-looking vision for Bellaire into the logo design. The resulting logo depicts the well-known trolley on Bellaire Boulevard enclosed by a large oak arch in shades of green with the city’s name and date of establishment.
According to board member Kristina Coffey, the logo is unique to Bellaire and reflects the city’s origins and future. City Council approved moving forward with the conceptual logo design unanimously.
Next Steps
The city plans to approve approximately $25,000 in the fiscal year 2026-27 budget for city staff to contract a professional designer to finalize the logo and develop brand guidelines. The community has been invited to learn more about the project and share feedback on the city’s webpage.
