Katy ISD is making changes to its high school graduation schedule for 2027, with ceremonies to be held at both Rhodes Stadium and Legacy Stadium. This adjustment comes after the district held one ceremony per evening at Legacy Stadium for the past seven years.

A new location of Indian restaurant Simply South is coming to Katy in July, featuring vegetarian dishes from throughout India. Additionally, EVO Entertainment has acquired the former Xscape Theatre property in Fulshear, with plans to redevelop the site into a nearly 70,000-square-foot entertainment destination.

The Woodlands Mall has also seen several new stores open this spring, with more planned to open or undergo renovations this year. The mall has launched its summer family movie series, Movies on the Lawn, with free movies shown on select Thursdays.
