In the early hours of Saturday morning, a tragic incident occurred in Cumberland County when a man was fatally struck by a freight train. The accident happened around 3 a.m., prompting a swift response from local emergency services.

Emergency Response

Upon receiving the call, multiple emergency responders, including deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland County EMS and Fire, and the Pearce’s Mill Fire Department, arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
