Hims & Hers expands telehealth weight‑loss and men’s health services to Australia

Hims & Hers, the U.S. telehealth company known for its men’s health and weight‑loss offerings, announced on Monday that it is now providing branded GLP‑1 weight‑loss drugs and a range of men’s health treatments to customers in Australia. The expansion follows the company’s acquisition earlier this year of Australian digital‑health platform Eucalyptus and its Sydney‑based telehealth brand Pilot.

Local knowledge meets global platform

Tim Doyle, former CEO of Eucalyptus and now senior vice president at Hims & Hers, said the combination of Pilot’s deep local knowledge with Hims’ global infrastructure creates a “meaningful opportunity to help even more Australians access better, more comprehensive weight‑loss care.” He added that the move will reduce travel and wait times, especially for patients in rural areas where access to specialist care has traditionally been limited.

Services to be offered

Through the Pilot brand, Hims will offer a suite of products that includes sexual‑health medications, cholesterol treatments, and, most prominently, branded GLP‑1 weight‑loss drugs such as Novo Nordix’s Wegovy and Eli Lilly’s Zepbound – the same medications the company provides in the United States. The company also plans to roll out its women’s health segment later this year via Juniper, Eucalyptus’ women’s brand.

Strategic international growth

Hims & Hers aims to reach $6.5 billion in revenue by 2030. International expansion has already boosted subscription numbers and increased monthly revenue per subscriber by 21 % compared with a year earlier, though the rapid growth has pressured gross‑profit margins. The company expects margins to remain below historical levels as it continues to invest in overseas offerings.

In 2025, Hims acquired Zava, a London‑based firm that prescribes and delivers weight‑loss drugs across the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Ireland. The Australian launch is part of a broader strategy to increase brand visibility and attract international subscribers, while improving operational efficiency across its global business.

Implications for Australian consumers

For Australians, the entry of Hims & Hers means greater convenience in obtaining prescription‑grade weight‑loss medication and other health services without the need for in‑person visits. The telehealth model aligns with the country’s push to expand digital health solutions, particularly in remote regions where specialist care is scarce.

Industry observers note that the presence of a large U.S. telehealth player could intensify competition among local providers, potentially driving down costs and encouraging innovation in service delivery. However, they also caution that the integration of foreign platforms must respect Australian regulatory standards and data‑privacy laws.

Looking ahead

Hims & Hers expects to continue adding treatment options in Australia and to leverage its international footprint to bring more comprehensive health solutions to consumers worldwide. As the company refines its Australian operations, it will monitor patient outcomes and regulatory feedback to ensure that its services meet the high standards expected by both patients and health authorities.
