Cal Poly and UCSB Baseball Teams Head to NCAA Regionals

The Cal Poly Mustangs, champions of the Big West Tournament, are set to compete in the NCAA Regionals with a #3 seed in the Los Angeles Regional. The Mustangs, boasting a 36-22 record, will face Virginia Tech on Friday at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. The regional also includes host and #1 overall seed UCLA and Saint Mary’s.

UCSB Gauchos Head to Austin

Meanwhile, the UCSB Gauchos have secured an at-large berth from the Big West and will participate in the Austin Regional. The Gauchos, with a 38-18 record, are scheduled to play against Tarleton State on Friday at 3 p.m. Pacific Time. The Austin Regional also features host Texas and Holy Cross.

The NCAA Regionals follow a double-elimination format, with the winner of each four-team regional advancing to the Super Regionals. There are a total of 16 regionals in this stage of the competition.
