Irving Park’s newest coffee shop, Turn Back Time Records and Coffee, has opened its doors to the public. The shop, located at 3834 W. Irving Park Road, is a unique space that combines a coffee shop with a record store.
A Welcoming Space
Owners Patrick Kapp and Emiley Kiser, who live in the neighborhood, wanted to create a space where people could come together and enjoy good coffee and music. The shop features a small menu of coffee drinks, including espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos, as well as a selection of doughnuts from a local bakery.
The record store section of the shop features hundreds of albums from various artists and genres. Kapp, a musician himself, has been collecting records since high school and is excited to share his passion with the community.
A Community Space
Kapp and Kiser hope that Turn Back Time Records and Coffee will become a hub for the community, where people can come to work, meet with friends, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee and some music. The shop’s hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
